The story
The Lamborghini Huracán replaced the Gallardo and is powered by a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 producing 610 hp in base all-wheel-drive form, with performance variants reaching 640 hp. Built on an aluminum-carbon hybrid platform shared with the Audi R8, it offers all-wheel or rear-wheel drive across coupe, spyder, and track-focused body styles. The Huracán Performante reset the production car Nürburgring benchmark at 6:52.01 in 2017.
History
Unveiled at Geneva 2014, the Huracán LP 610-4 introduced a dual-clutch transmission, rear-wheel steering, and sophisticated torque vectoring as standard. The Performante of 2017 featured ALA active aerodynamics, hollow wings that channel air to actively alter downforce on each side independently. The Evo followed in 2019, and the rear-wheel-drive STO (Super Trofeo Omologata) of 2021 brought motorsport homologation technology to the road.
On track
The Huracán GT3 Evo became one of the most raced GT cars in the world, winning class victories at the Daytona 24 Hours and Sebring 12 Hours multiple times. The Super Trofeo one-make championship expanded globally, and GT3 Evo variants won championships on every continent.
