The story

The Koenigsegg Jesko is the company's most extreme road-focused hypercar, named after founder Christian von Koenigsegg's father Jesko. Its 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 1,280 hp on petrol and 1,600 hp on E85 fuel, making it the highest-output production engine in the world. A nine-speed multi-clutch transmission with seven clutches, the Light Speed Transmission, can execute any gear change in under two milliseconds.

History

Unveiled at Geneva 2019, the Jesko was developed as the successor to the Agera RS with an explicit focus on track performance alongside ultimate speed capability. The Jesko Absolut variant, aimed at maximum top speed, is projected to achieve 330 mph behind closed doors at Koenigsegg. The Light Speed Transmission is an entirely new paradigm in gearbox design with simultaneous clutch pre-engagement allowing instantaneous ratio changes. Production is limited to 125 units.
