The story

The Ferrari Monza SP1 is a single-seat Icona barchetta with a 809-horsepower V12 and no roof or windshield in the modern sense. Ferrari built 499 Monza SP1 and SP2 cars combined, sold only to existing clients.

History

The Icona series began in 2018 as coachbuilt specials inspired by 1950s sports-racers. The Monza SP1 (one seat) and SP2 (two seats) share the 812 Superfast V12 and a carbon structure. Deliveries ran from 2019 into 2022.

On track

The name recalls the 750 Monza and 860 Monza sports-racers of the 1950s. The modern car is not a racer; it is a road-legal tribute built in the same spirit of limited coachwork.
