The story

The Rolls-Royce Camargue was a luxury grand tourer produced by Rolls-Royce Motors from 1975 to 1986. It was notable for being the most expensive production car in the world at the time of its launch. The Camargue was built on the platform of the Silver Shadow, but featured a unique body design by Pininfarina.

History

The Camargue was developed during a time when Rolls-Royce was looking to expand its model range and offer more personalized luxury vehicles. It was the first post-war Rolls-Royce to not be designed in-house, marking a significant shift in the company's design philosophy. Despite its high price and exclusivity, the Camargue was not a commercial success, with only 531 units produced over its entire production run.
