The story

The Rimac Nevera is the most powerful production car available in the early 2020s, a fully electric hypercar with four motors producing 1,914 hp and 1,741 lb-ft of torque that achieves 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds and a top speed of 258 mph. Built by Croatian startup Rimac Automobili in a purpose-built factory near Zagreb, it represents the apex of what battery-electric technology could achieve in a road car. Only 150 examples were produced.

History

Founded by Mate Rimac in 2009 when he was 21 years old, Rimac Automobili built its reputation on electric drivetrain technology supplied to Aston Martin, Porsche, Hyundai, and eventually taking a majority stake in Bugatti. The Concept One debuted in 2011 as a prototype, establishing Rimac's technical credentials. The Nevera (named after a violent Mediterranean storm) debuted in 2021 as the production evolution. Rimac merged with Bugatti under Porsche's ownership to form Bugatti Rimac in 2021.
