Build Your Dreams
History
BYD was founded in 1995 as a rechargeable battery manufacturer. In 2003, it entered the automotive industry by acquiring Tsinchuan Automobile Company. The company quickly expanded its product range to include electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). BYD's F3DM, launched in 2008, was the world's first mass-produced plug-in hybrid car. The company has since become a dominant player in the Chinese EV market and has expanded globally with operations in North America, Europe, and South America. BYD continues to innovate with new models like the Han EV sedan and the Tang SUV, while also investing heavily in battery technology and renewable energy solutions.
